Your data, explained

Privacy policy.

Denove is built around your workout. Here’s how the app, this website and support handle your information.

Effective date: 6 November 2026

The short version. Your workout library stays on your devices and syncs between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. Denove has no account system, advertising or analytics SDK. Apple handles Health and purchases. If you email support or visit this website, the information needed to provide those services is processed as described below.

01 · Who we are

This policy covers Denove — Interval Timer for iPhone and Apple Watch, this support website and Denove support correspondence.

Operator and data controller: Burak Ahmet Yörük

Support and privacy contact:
yorukburakahmet@gmail.com

02 · Your workouts

Denove stores your routines, exercise names, preferences and workout history locally on your devices. It uses Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework to transfer routines, completed Watch workouts and workout-control information between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch.

We do not operate a server that receives your workout library. Denove does not require an account and does not contain advertising or an analytics SDK.

If you export a backup, Denove creates a JSON file containing your routines, history and preferences. You choose where to save or share it using the system share sheet. The destination service’s privacy practices apply to that copy. Device backups may also contain app data, depending on your Apple settings.

03 · Apple Health

With your permission, Denove saves workout records to Apple Health and uses HealthKit workout sessions for background execution. Denove requests permission to write workouts; it does not request access to read your existing Health records. On Watch, Apple’s workout framework manages the live workout session and its data collection under the permissions you grant.

Health data is not sent to us, used for advertising or sold. Apple controls Health storage and any Health syncing you enable. You can revoke Denove’s permission and manage its saved records through Apple’s Health controls. Revoking workout-write permission limits background workout functionality.

04 · Purchases

Denove is a paid app purchased upfront through the App Store. Apple processes the app purchase and manages download access. All app features are included; Denove has no in-app purchases or subscription. We do not receive your payment-card details through Denove.

Apple manages purchase records and applies its own retention rules. See Apple’s privacy information for its services.

05 · Local diagnostics

Denove keeps a rotating local log of up to 20 recent audio diagnostic events. It may include timestamps, cue context, app and operating-system versions, application state, audio-route types and technical error codes.

The log does not record microphone audio or accessory names and identifiers. It is not automatically uploaded to us. Older events are replaced as new events are recorded. Local app data is removed when the app is deleted, subject to device backup and restore behavior.

If support needs diagnostic information, you choose whether to provide it. Please avoid sending workout histories, Health data or full backups unless they are necessary for a specific issue and you intentionally choose to share them.

06 · Support email

If you email us, we receive your email address, message content and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request, diagnose the issue and keep track of the conversation. Our support mailbox is provided by Google Gmail. Messages are processed by Google and your email provider to deliver and store the correspondence.

We delete support messages and attachments from our mailbox within 12 months after the request is resolved, unless a longer retention period is legally required. You can request earlier deletion by contacting us. Any legally required records are kept only for the applicable period.

For people in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, ordinary support correspondence is processed to respond to your request or fulfil our service relationship, and where applicable for our legitimate interest in providing support and resolving faults. Please do not include sensitive health information in your initial message.

We do not sell support correspondence or use it for advertising. See Google’s privacy policy for its service practices.

07 · This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and request timing, to deliver and protect the website. These infrastructure records are subject to Cloudflare’s processing and retention practices.

We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms, tracking cookies or third-party font requests to these pages. Essential infrastructure processing by Cloudflare is separate from Denove’s on-device workout data. Our purpose is to provide a reliable, secure support website; where applicable, we rely on our legitimate interest in doing so.

Apple, Google and Cloudflare may process information in countries outside your home country. Their applicable terms and privacy notices describe their processing locations and transfer safeguards. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for more about its role and practices.

08 · Your choices

  • Local History: use Settings → Delete local history in Denove. This affects the current device’s local history; records on another device are separate.
  • Saved routines: edit or delete them in Denove’s workout library.
  • Backups: export a copy in Settings. Delete exported copies from the locations where you saved them. Restoring a backup replaces local app data.
  • Health: change permissions or remove records using Apple Health. Deleting Denove History does not delete Health workouts.
  • App data: deleting the app removes its local data. Device backups and data on your other device may remain.
  • Support information: email the privacy contact to request access to or deletion of your correspondence.

We cannot remotely access or delete the workout library stored on your devices.

09 · Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To exercise these rights, contact yorukburakahmet@gmail.com. We may request proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your data. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Your statutory rights are not limited by this policy.

10 · Policy changes

We will update this page when Denove’s data practices change and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
